How is the interview conducted?
Once you have registered for a session, you will be emailed a link to follow at the time of your interview. You can access the link from either your smartphone or computer (if using your iPhone or iPad to connect, be sure to use the Safari browser) .

We are piloting in-person interview sessions in the Chicago metro-area. Please reach out to us if you are interested in this option.
What questions will I be asked?
Our interviews are custom conversation between our heroes and interviewers. We start prompts that slowly help you share key moments in your life and your views.

Before your interview, we send a short survey so that our interviewer can prepare for the general conversation direction. For example, if you indicated that you would like to talk about your immigration story the interviewer will be prepared to begin the discussion by asking questions to get a sense of your home land.
How do I prepare for the session?
Once you have scheduled your session, please take a three minute survey that will be emailed to you to help your interviewer get a sense of topics that might be covered in the interview.

You are also welcome to spend some time reflecting on key moments in your life, what values have been most important to you, and what lessons have you learned over your journeys.
What is the timeline for the process?
Children's Book
You will receive a digital transcript and recording of your session within a week after your interview. The story text and illustrations will be sent to you within 3 weeks of the interview and you will receive a physical book within 1 month of your approval of the book.
Memoir
You will receive a digital transcript and recording of your session within a week after your interview. The fully edited "memoir version" of your journey will be emailed to you within two months of the interview and will be mailed your physical book within 1 month of your approval of the manuscript.
Who will have access to my information?
Your privacy is paramount for SagaScript. Only the journalist and editor will ever see the words that you share and anything you disclose in the interview is completely confidential and cannot be shared what your consent. After you receive your printed book, if you do not want to purchase additional prints, you can request to have your data deleted from our records.
Can I edit the final text?
Yes, after the writer and editor have crafted to manuscript, you will be sent a digital copy to make sure that it represents your experiences before the book it printed. The standard package comes with one round of edits based on your feedback, however, you can purchase additional rounds of edits at $60/hr.
In what languages can interviews be conducted?
